THANK YOU: Creating this podcast has been a tremendous experience. I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart who have supported me throughout its creation! If this podcast has impacted you positively, I’d love to hear from you. As we come to the end of the year 2020, this podcast will contain almost every book from the Book of Mormon. If you are a regular listener, then you know that each episode provides the listener with 1) orienting introductory remarks, 2) a “flyover” survey of the structure of the chapter, and 3) a full reading with commentary.

PLANS FOR 2021: It looks like my professional life is going to change dramatically over the next few weeks; I will need to dedicate more time to content creation of a different sort. I don’t know if I will be able to finish Ether and Moroni before the end of the year 2020. With this change in mind, I think 2021 may require a new approach to this podcast. While I think I will continue to offer episodes that correspond with the Doctrine and Covenants, I will probably do so only with selected sections. I would rather continue to dive deeply, using the same format as before, even if it is not with every assigned section. Additionally, I hope to finish the Book of Mormon in the first quarter of 2021, finishing Ether and Moroni (in case I fall behind before the year ends), and then returning to several 2 Nephi chapters that I skipped: Jacob’s sermon in 2 Nephi 6-9, and the Isaiah chapters found in 2 Nephi 15-24.

FUTURE PROJECTS: There are several additional audio projects I would like to embark upon once I have completed the Book of Mormon in its entirety. This includes:
– Book of Mormon flyover summaries: one episode per book.
– The complete New Testament.
– Selected Doctrine and Covenants sections, and one day, perhaps the complete volume.
– The Pearl of Great Price
– Selected chapters from the Old Testament.
– There are a couple of other audio projects that I will keep closer to my vest for now — one that I am particularly excited about. Stay tuned for that! If you turn on your notifications when podcasts arrive, then you’ll always catch new episodes.

FUTURE WRITING PROJECTS: I plan on making much of my podcast content available in written form. This is going to take some time. I will use this web site to release those writings from time to time, until I am ready to publish something more cohesive. See my “writings” section for more information.

FAQs:
Q: Can you get show notes to me?
A: I am delighted to provide you with individual quotations, or even more — depends upon copyright restrictions.

Q: What is your favorite podcast client?
A: I like apple because it is ubiquitous, and the reviews on the apple client help me to gain more listeners. But for my own use, I really prefer Overcast. Really nice user experience. Highly recommended. Spotify is nice too. I’m not sure about the Android side of things.

Q: Where do you do your recordings?
A: Mostly from my home in Midway, UT, but a lot have been made in Anchorage, Alaska, Mesa, Arizona, Popotla, Mexico, and a few other places.

Here is my best helper in my home studio, who you can sometimes hear in the background.

DIALOGUE:
I’d love to have a way to dialogue with listeners that is specific to each episode. I’m not sure how to do that just yet — maybe a blog post for each new episode that allows for comments. I think I might prefer that over facebook. I think the facebook page will be a great way to apprise people of content updates, but I think I’d rather have dialogue on this site. If anyone has feedback or suggestions re: this issue, please let me know.
